What's coming to Lilasuds for Autumn

Autumn. It's my favorite season of the year. Growing up in Puerto Rico I never truly experienced the change of seasons. I have been living in New York City for more than seven years and I still remember my first fall. My old street was lined with tall trees down the block. I finally experienced what it was like to feel the brisk fall breeze and the change of leaves. I wanted to share that same emotion with you guys. This is what's coming to Lilasuds in November:

BARRELITO

Barrelito represents my love for apple cider. It wasn't until I moved here that I had my first cup of piping hot cider from a local farm. Barrelito is a play on the word barrel in English and Spanish. This soap has rich notes of crisp apples and the warmth of an old oak barrel. It's spicy, yet smooth.

CRANBERRY SALSA

Ever experienced that cranberry sauce that comes from a can? I certainly have and THIS IS NOT IT! I like my cranberry sauce from scratch made with fresh cranberries, orange juice, cinnamon and clove with a bit of sugar. Delicious. Cranberry Salsa has notes of juicy cranberries, pomegranate, pink grapefruit, grapes, strawberry, and lemon with nuances of heliotrope and apple blossoms. You can check out the making of this soap on my youtube channel here.

COZY

If you know me, you know that I'm actually a fashion designer at my "day job". I started off my design journey as a knitwear design assistant. When I think of fall, I think of chunky sweaters and scarves. So I went in and made a soap that looks like a sweater! I was surprised at how effective this technique with soap dough was, being as it is quite simple. Cozy is the most perfect unisex blend of aromatic rosewood and cedar, spicy clove, everlasting vetiver, and dark amber.

AUTUMN

Remember what I was saying about the change of colors? THIS is what that feels like to me. Autumn smells like the change of colors. It smells like the brisk autumn breeze. It smells like lush, leafy trees changing. It has deep notes of oakmoss, almost like a bright tea.

GOOD AS PIE

Good as pie is one I've been wanting to make for so long. The reason I started Lilasuds was to make sensitive solutions for sensitive skins. This is a bar free of fragrances or essential oils. It is made with organic pumpkin puree and local raw honey from Astor Apiaries. It has a tiny pinch of ground cinnamon to round off the look, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to cinnamon.

Stay posted on INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK for more details on this launch.

The Autumn release will go live OCTOBER 25th at 8pm EST here at lilasuds.com
